In simple lay man terms, the staking rewards (rebase rewards) which are distributed every 3 seconds are backed by the insurance fund which ensures a high and stable interest rate of $MaxAPY token holders. 4% of all trading fees are stored in the Insurance Fund which helps sustain and back the staking rewards provided by the positive rebase.

2.5% of all $MaxAPY traded are burnt in The Inferno. The more that is traded, the more get put into the inferno causing it to grow in size thereby, reducing the circulating supply and keeping the MaxAPY protocol stable. The other benefit to a constant burn of the circulating supply is that it increases the value of each individual token.
The Vault
3,5% of all fees are stored in the Vault. The Vault will be used to fund new MaxAPY products, services, and projects that will expand and provide more value to the MaxAPY community aswell as providing funding for marketing & buybacks.
